    2006 Honda Odyssey

We picked up our New 2006 Honda Odyssey LX last month and are well on the with the install (pictures to post in a week or so.

    Heres my parts so far
    1. Travla C158 Case with M1 Power Supply.
(120 gig WD Hard Drive ,512MB Ram, slot loading DVDROM/CDRW, 2nd PCI Video Card - see phase 2, winxpPro, Roadrunner, IGuidence)

    2. USB Devices -
WintvUSB for TV and Radio, Wigi dongle, Bluetooth Dongle

    4. Lilliput 8inch touch Screen (should have bought the 7 as tyhis is proving to be a tight fit - but i'll get it in there.

    6. New AMP (arrives today so will post info tomorrow).

    7. A Heap of wires and plugs.

    PHASE 1

    1. Decide where to mount the pc. DONE
There is an under floor compartment behind the front seats where the pc and amp and other junk fits perfectly.

    2. Cathy , my techie wife , and I have sorted out how to remove the stock Radio / CD unit and I have Fabricated a new insert, around the lilli frame, out of Aluminum and Perspex. Cathy has covered this in a leather like material matching out seatcovers. - 90% done, just have to design one more attachment for securing it to the third and final chasis bolt hole, and extend the lilliput IR to side of screen as we have had to cut off the bottom of the lilli screen.

    To Do

    1. Run 2 lines from the battery through the firewall to the under floor compartment for the pc and amp power.

    2. Use purchased breakout plug to extend speaker and areal lines from Radio location to underfloor pc location

    3. Finnish pc software install - only iguidence left to install. winamp , RR and tinyxp on already.

    4. test all before install and install.

    PHASE 2

The second part is to install a second roof mounter display for the kids to view the movies we are currently converting to Divx. This display will run off the second video card in the pc concurrently with the gps software (we hope.)

Also will add OBDII connection to pc

    more pics

more pics of the work in the Van. The 2006 odyssey has a under floor compartment behind the front seats, ideal for the car pc to be. I drilled a fan hole for ventilation and also a wiring hole in the non moving plastic part of the door so if I messed it up, I could just buy a replacement door.

    Power run from battery now.

I have two power runs from the battery , through the firewall, to the carpc location done. Also the Ground runs to a suitable location.

Will run the rest of the cabling this week and get the install finnished before the end of the month with pics also.
