Hi im new to this wanted a hobby i like to tinker with things and my car is a great thing to do stuff too.so far i have put on a exghaust, short shifter, power windows, 17 inch wheels EL whit dials. A friend did a carputer so i thought id try it out so this is my setup so far.

The computer
so far ive got:
VIA EPIA MII 12000 Motherboard
M2-ATX power supply
Ex-Audio 7" Touch Screen TFT
300gb HDD
512mb DDR ram
plus small bits and pieces such as cables.
Progress
Ive assembled the computer inso a perspex box 180x180x100 this will be mounted inside my dash behind the touch screen.
Ive started to fabricate the screen bezel into the dash where the head unit used to be.
Im not sure wether my speakes ive got will cut it and deliver the sound im hoping for i dont want loud just nice clean music with good bass. Im thinking component speakers (splits) for the front, any suggestions nothing too pricey but. ill be using a 5.1 usb extrernal sound card that wil be connected to amps a 4 chanel for speakers and a 2 chanel for sub.

ok heres one of the dash before hand
Putting the screen bezel into the double din spot
decided to get rid of the ash tray and cigarete lighter
the computer in the box i had made
thats about it for the carputer so far will update when i progress further

its goin to go in this hole sitting vertical i cut away the bit at the bottom a small thing of plastic thing that held the ash tray that is not needed to make it fit easier theres heaps of room and i found a bracket that was for the head unit in the dash this will hold it there.

yep it sure is the hole is actually huge when you remove bits of the dash to get into it easier i dont currently have a pic but will post one. i had the box made to the exact width of the hole. i have tested the fit and all is good i just need some small bolts to hold it in there to the bracket.
are right sounds good
will the air be cool for it as I know how hot in them dash boards get
