Well i got the bezel and after the official measurment, your 100% right. Maybe if you totally stripped an 8" and did ALOT of shaving you could make it work, but the Lilliput 7" looks like a good fit w/o too much hassle. And, it's much cheaper

Goooooooooood... cause if you managed to get it in there with little hassle I was going to strangle someone haha... cause I stared at my dash for 2 hours trying to make it possible and it just wasnt happening :P

Thanks for your interest, but this project is on hold while I do other mods to the car first, namely performance mods. I will pick this back up in the future however.

How deep is it behind the stereo? I am thinking about the Subaru case and just throwing everything in that...

The 8 in is probably a stretch... we did a 7in liliput and shave 2 sides of the bezel down for it to fit right... granted the buttons were on the sides, but still top to bottom it was a tight fit in the bezel... Theres a decent amount of room back there, we actually put the m/b and psu where your manual goes, and mounted the HD behind the screen. Let me know if you have any questions when you resume working on this.
