Thought I would start a worklog, even though computer is done soon!

Picture of an unmodified contour:

From the begining:

- Ripped out headunit, snapped off front plastic panel on dash and around the cig lighter
- Relocated headunit to lower area near cig lighter
- Disconnected cig lighter, wired it into a relay which is controled by the ignition wire
- Replaced cig fuse with 30 AMP rating
- put a ham radio onto the lower left area near the clutch pedal with velcro, wired it in
- used same wire to power inverter in the trunk, inverter grounded onto one of the wires used for the tail lights
- Cut out dashboard dimmer control, wired dashboard to always be fully illuminated (only on when headlights are on anyway)
- Cut HVAC controls into 3 with combination soldering gun and rotary tool, relocated the mode selector into where the dashboard dimmer controls used to be (vaccum cords reach)
- Relocated other 2 HVAC controls below headunit, now there is a large opening for the LCD
- Mini-ATX board arrived, just a little large for glove compartment. Cut small horizontal hole into glove box to fit the motherboard.
- Wired M2-ATX into the cords made so far, wires traveling into glove box
- Connected mobo to aux in in headunit
- USB cables added, 1 hub behind where the LCD screen goes, an extension cable goes to the 2nd hub near the driver side mirror (not the rear view mirror, the visor mirror)
- mounted small usb keyboard into driver side visor

Todo: get hard drive, wire laptop cd drive to computer, install os, wire in bluetooth adapter / bluetooth gps, fiberglass and sand everything, install lcd.

Waiting on more parts...
