    Good news everyone!

I installed the new screen into the box. Took a deep breath and... it works! The kernel module initialized it and the toolkit will run on it. I will take some pics when I get back to one of my residences (I reside in about 4 places right now).

It is preliminary right now, just the kernel drivers splash screen (Some text and Tux). The testing application is just a little demo program using the default GUI theme and a little animation. I won't post many pictures until I have the frontend running.

BTW, someone asked about the price of the Powersupply, I will post all my prices when I get back.

Oddball question perhaps, but...what car is this going in and what are the overall dimensions of LlamaBox?

It LOOKS like Double Din, am I right?

Yep, it is a Double-DIN. I will post all the tech details in a couple days. I would have some pictures of the GUI today, but I accidently burnt out my external harddrive. I was pluging the enclosure into the power supply, but used the wrong powersupply! Fortunately it only burnt out the motor controller, so I purchased a new logic board. If this doesn't work then I lost my whole music library (90+ Gigs).

I was refering to my music collection, videos were on another drive. But, I may need some music donations. The big problem is that I had alot of personal stuff on there I haven't backed up. Stuff that isn't replaceable.

Hey neither do I... I hope your replacement board works. I know what it's like to lose years of information. We're computer people, you think we would have backups... I've had this happen once, and I still don't keep a backup.
