Hi there, I considered doing the same thing as you to isolate the case in my very first CarPC:

But then realized that unless the motherboard is properly and securely raised, you might have some problems with the soldering points cutting through the duct tape and short-circuiting on the metal case.

no no... motherboard is installed on small "legs" (as in desktop computers). I did it with duck-tape just to be sure

...

thanks. Anyway I dont like look of this bezel

. There is no problem with painting....but what is bothering me is his profile...shape ...I dont know how to say it.... I just dont like it

I have seen a few created bezels for Firebird here, but none is my cup of coffe ..... I have to find other look

any suggestions is apriciated.

I really like your mounting system for your HD. I plan on doing this as well, as I have been having head crashes with my 3.5" drive. Nice Firebird by the way!
