'04 Fiat Punto.. Work in progress...

So i finally decided to share the details of my project with the forums..

CarPC Spec:

1.2GHz EPIA Mini-ITX
M1-ATX PSU
7" In Dash Motorized Touchscreen
USB GPS Receiver
12" Wi-fi antenna
2x 4ch Audio Amplifiers (Yes i know a 6ch or a 4ch + a 2ch would have worked but i got a good deal!)
2x Pioneer 150W (35W RMS) Front Components
2x Bog Standard Rear Components
1x Sony 1100w (300W RMS) 10" Sub

Integrate car with CarPC.. (see below!)
Replace those pioneer's with something a little more powerful..

Integrate Car with PC...

What i want the PC to be able to control:

Windows
Door Locks
Ignition System

What i want the PC to 'know':

Hand Brake Position - Ability to disable certain functions when car is moving.
Engine RPM - Auto adjust volume as engine gets louder.
Current Gear
Fuel level

Miscellaneous Ideas

Car Tracker - Have GPS co-ords being transmitted over GPRS when car is on the move.
Biometrics - Replace Locking barrels with fingerprint sensors.. droole...

Nice to see you have it all planned out. Any recent progress?

By the way, I just realized that your car is a "Fiat Punto". Do you know what "punto" means in Spanish? It's funny how manufactures overlook stuff like this.

Kind of like when chevy tried to sell the Nova in Mexico. No Va = No go in Spanish.
