heheheh I told you.... Dynamadness!!! I ordered 2 rolls of the stuff, which is 125 sq. ft. It felt like somewhere around 70 lbs when I received the box. I'm not sure. I may end up ordering another roll, because I'm already almost done with the first one!

Edit: It's 0.35 lbs per sq. ft., so it should weigh about 44 lbs, although it felt like more

My motherboard came in today!! now the only thing I need to test out the system is the IDE to 2.5" HDD cable from MP3car.com to come in *Ahem*. I won't be able to work on anything this weekend because I am going a trip down to San Diego tomorrow. Ah well, it will have to wait until I get back. And hopefully everything will be here by then!! Here's my pile of equipment:

you may want to make sure that your source for the audio can drive enough voltage to be split that may ways. may want to consider a line driver. but all with testing right!

anyways, while your deadening you may want to consider putting some noise killer there too.

I did it and it made my driving experience so much nicer because there was so much less road noise

Yeah, I am planning on putting Ensolite, which is pretty much the same thing, on top of the RAAMmat. I am going to wait until I am finished, though, in case I have a bunch of leftovers in which case I can add another layer in the trunk before applying the Ensolite.

The audio source of the headrest monitors will be split twice before it reaches them, which may or may not be an issue. I'll have to wait and see. The audio source of the computer audio input will only be split once, and it will only travel a very short distance, so it shouldn't be an issue. Especially because I can adjust the gain of the input using the computer's software.

I have been looking around for a simple audio splitter/amplifier, but I haven't seen anything. Do you know of any such device?

Brilliant seems that you are on the ball

The only thing that I can think of the top of my head that will do what you want is something like the matrix from audiocontrol.

poke around their websites as they have a bunch of things that may work for you.

the other option which would seemed more ghetto rigged would be to get a line driver and then split that line many ways, but im not sure if that would produce the desired affect.

    Looks great so far.

I like your diagram and I plan on using this as a templete for my project. Doing this is MS paint, ouch! that must have been painfull.

    Thanks rando, kosti.

Those diagrams do take a while to draw. The secret for me is to use copy, paste, and rotate to your advantage. After a while, you don't even need to use the line or shape tools.
