Thanks Kalt and Anshu! I am looking forward to getting this project wrapped up. Although I guess it will never be completely finished, because there is always stuff I can do to it. I just want to be able to use the computer!
Nice work vihila, i wish i loved my car enough to do the same.

therees quite a ways to go my friend! But keep it up, the deadening part is the only one that you never have regrets about, Ive always said I could have used this componennt or done something the other way, but my deadening has been so great that I have never had 2nd doubts!
I know what you mean, I have already cursed myself for ordering parts before I needed them, only to find that I could have gotten them more cheaply someplace else. Case in point, I bought a new subwoofer on impulse and I have decided to go with a different one. Now I have to sell it. I have no regrets about RAAMmat and Ensolite, however.![]()
You're right Anshu, it takes a lot longer than I thought for the doors. Especially because I haven't been able to spend as much time as I want to on this
I have finished with one of the doors. I'll try to do one per week for the next three weeks. Here are the pictures:

Just out of interests, have you broken any clips or stuff, things I may need to know if I ever get mine going.
Well done!

New Car PC Build list in progress
I know thats not a stock speaker going back into the door!
By putting it back together very carefullyThere aren't that many different types of fasteners or screws, and you can usually remember what kind goes in each place.
The only clip I have broken (so far) was on the rear quarter and it was the black pushpin type that went directly on the top center of the carpeted part. It blended into the carpet so I didn't see it.
Thanks!
Unfortunately, yes. I have to wait until my next paycheck before I get new speakers.Originally Posted by Anshu

haha. only one clip!? thats amazing, i have a collection of crapped ones.
I forgot to mention that I posted some of the gotchas on removing the front seats, back seats, rear quarters, and floor at the end of this thread (at subaruforester.org).
Also, I forgot about this one little clip that broke on the back of the upper rear quarter trim. The plastic standoff broke at the base and I was able to epoxy it back together. IMO, the upper rear quarter trim is the most annoying peice because the metal clips keep coming off of the plastic standoffs. You'd be better off to glue them permanently on.
