    Other awesome things!

Figured out a way to do Bookmarks and then routes based off of bookmarks in NavIT, very excited! [if only i could get used to metric]

Got the nGpsd plug-in working in Nghost, very nice little app, next will be the weather [although it's only REALLY useful to me when i'm home [wireless]

Noticed how easy it is to add custom images to the skin [mobileThree logo here i come!]

And also I've started to code up a perl/gtk2 based app to control my relay module to control my windows ... I don't think i'm going to like my relay module since the relays are on the board and I'd rather them closer to the motors [less wiring] --- might be time for a FusionBrain

Back up and running, installed linuxice2 on my new 32gb OCX vertex SSD [BOOTS QUICK!!!], added a 500gb 2.5" usb external drive for my media.

Steering wheel came in .. need to test it out to see what i'm working with pretty sure it's a one wire resistive set up, but only one way to know: MULTIMETER! then i'll decide if i want to go with the FB or the joycon, maybe I'll get both and mess around.

Any way while my Truck sat without a motor for a bout a year it also developed a leak in the passenger side door seal. Which leaked, and soaked the carpet, which then got moldy, so NEXT UP i need to replace the front carpet, pads and mats. So ebay here we come [again] but that will give me a great excuse to redo my console!

AND we broke it! that's what i get for trying to use the bleeding edge wireless drivers ... currently booting to a live cd to rescue my system ... then back to the "stable" drivers .. then to do what i originally set out to do this evening .. install the nvidia ION drivers so that i can watch videos ... errr listen to music? ok in all actually I have a bands live DVD i wanna listen too.

Been thinking about a design for my updated console .. i think i'm gunna mount a board upright in the center of my console then mount the parts/wires on either side [parts include but are not limited to, component crossovers, 5v psu [upcoming usb hub project], possibly a fusion brain and/or joycon. Also involved with the console upgrade could be a few new 12v outlets, usb ports up front so i dont have to go to the back very time i wanna plug in a thumb stick or charge my phone. and I'm thinking about MAYBE adding my powermate to the mix I'll have to see if i can get it to do what i want [zoom the map, fast forward a song, scroll a list, scroll a web page]

those are my thoughts as i sit in the driveway of my hot blazer [a/c compressor, clutch, pulley came in today now to find time to put them in] with my laptop buring my lap waiting for this thing to compile.

As seen in my other thread about steering wheel controls I got my new steering wheel and Joycon EX in this week, wired them up on the bench [read: couch] and tested things out, so at the moment I have the 5 of the 6 buttons doing Mute, Volume down, Volume Up, Next Track, Previous Track.

other none carputer related parts are still arriving to be put INTO the truck and I'll probably switch everything out all at once, so look for this to be operational by mid August.

Also the mounting of my new 8" Zenarc touch screen is still on my mind just really not sure how to do it.
