    2005 Audi A4 1.8T

This is basically a placeholder for the near future. It looks like there's a number of us on here that are working on our B5/B6 A4's so hopefully we can all learn from each other

Here's my plan and I've already bought everything except an LCD and figured out where I'm mounting it...

    Computer:
Mac Mini Core Duo (Dual core 1.66GHz, 1.25GB RAM, 80GB 2.5" SATA HD, 8X DVD-RW SuperDrive, Bluetooth, WiFi) - $799.00

    Power Supply:
    Carnetix CNX-P1900 - $99.00
Carnetix MacPnP Mac Mini Cable - $24.99

    Keyboard:
Apple Wireless Pro Bluetooth Keyboard - $62.99

    LCD:
    Xenarc 700TSV - $355.60

    GPS:
Global Sat BU-353 USB port GPS Receiver - $75.00

    Audio:
    Sirius Connect SIR-ALP1 - $85.95
Sirius to PC USB Interface with Digital Optical Out - $57.00
    VW/AUDI to PC adapter - $82.00
CD Changer Harness AA3-HAR for PC to Audio system - $9.99
Audi Radio Removal Keys - $11.99

    Operating System:
Windows XP (2FastXP distribution) under Boot Camp - free, thanks to my former university's software bundle
Minlogon - Free - Saving precious bootup time!

    Software:
    PhoneControl - $26.00
    RoadRunner - free! (Thanks guino!)
LSX Void skin - thanks LS! It rules
    iGuidance 3.0 - $99
    Winamp 5.24 - free
XPort - free! To use GPS among multiple applications simultaneously
    WhereIsMyGPS.net - free (Thanks Leddy)

    Possible future upgrades:
    Ross-Tech USB VAG-COM
    Backup camera
REVO ECU Flash with Bosch TT225 Injectors

The mini will go in the glove box. As far as electrical wiring, it's probably one of my weak points. Will need to figure out where to tap for what, etc. Since the car comes with the upgraded Bose package, I will be leaving the stock HU in (it matches the rest of the car...couldn't get rid of it!) espescially since the front speakers are powered by the head unit and I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a new amp, etc. So until I get bored and have extra money, I'm probably going to end up doing a gooseneck-type install for the LCD like this (borrowed from cdevelasco's 2000 A4 thread) since I will be keeping the stock head unit using Car2PC adapter:

I'm open to suggestions as to where else to place an LCD screen without losing the factory head unit.
