Trim piece to cover screen edges and provide backing for body filler edge smoothing. I would have liked to try bumper repair kit material to be bit more flexible and mate better with the kit but I had body filler already. Later this will get me as I expected.

Body Filler stage, beware I use the cheap stuff...

Sanded with 40, 120, 220

Primed

Sanded with 120 again to get rid of some roughness, then 220 and Primed again, then sanded with 400, then primed. Decided not to finish coat yet because I ran out of time and I wanted to wait and make a decision on final finish color...flat textured black or brushed metallic look that I don't know if I can duplicate without practicing. The decision to wait was good becuase I ran into a slight fitment issue.

Here is where I started with the circuitry. Since I am using the OEM dash, I needed a section of the dash for the LED's, buttons and connectors for the HVAC controls. All of those will be wired to the metra kit's circuit board used for the brains. Keep in mind this was the donor extra board that came with the bezel I bought on ebay. The original is untouched.

Next, onto the wiring. I could have eliminated a few wires since they are common connections for example the LEDs, but redundant is ok. You can also see my hack screen brackets using the existing threaded inserts in the bezel.

The Metra electronics board was later screwed to my hack job brackets, floating over the back of the screen.

Night shot, the Moco screen is super bright 450nits screen. I don't even remember what my 2004 Lilliput was rated at anymore, it was definitely put to shame. The clarity is miles better day and night. I can't believe I suffered all these years, well maybe I am glad because the price was right for a good screen. I really don't see the need for trans-reflective at this level, but some people might be more picky.

Day shot-Here you can see a slight nick on the right side.

There is also now a slight crack or line on the right bottom just above the buttons. Problem of using hard filler when the plastic flexes. It's just a crack in the filler, not the actual plastic bezel. I will probably reinforce the backside once I refinish to prevent it from happening again. One of my hack job brackets was too close to one of the clips. A minor oversight that when I tried to press it into place, caused too much stress on the filler. I'm glad I didn't final coat it now. I'm rocking primer black that my wife actually prefers.

Direct sunlight, slightly washed out but still totally readable unlike my last screen. My last screen even with a high contrast skin was not visible in direct sunlight.

Thanks. It's going to have to get a tiny bit warmer first. Good news is that I didn't defect to the south.

Hi, I want to know if the 10 2" speaker are your main midrange, I'm pretty interested, because I have a similar idea for my ford

how they perform? any electronic correction ?
