I read that you had noise issues. Don't run your power or ground cables next to your line outputs from the computer. That will cause the problem.

Cant code cause I dont know how, but give me the paint bucket and my eraser and have at you!

I solved the noise issue finally. I bypassed the amp in the head unit entirely. Now I am running a kicker amp with 4 Polk DB65's. It sounds great off the built in sound card. I do have a little pop when the sound card turns on. I have the amp starting up on the 5 volt rail right now. Some day soon I hope to move it on to the amp startup on the power supply. I will add some picture too.
The startup idea is lame... Use the Amp CTRL service. You hook it up to your serial port works much better trust me. Everytime 0 sounds tell windows is acutally loaded all the way.

Do you have it directly connected to the dtr line or do you have a relay or something in between?
Depends on your amp. My amp was able to take power straight form the DTR line. I have JL Audio brand amps. My setup works great but later I changed it so I wasn't pulled the power from the DTR to my amps.
I run DTR to a relay to switch 12v to my remote turn on for my amps. Thats the best way to do it period.

How did you make that compartment cover? I wanna make one but dont know where to start.
A jigsaw, a piece of particle board, some outdoor carpet, a staple gun and a peice of card board.
I layed the the cardboard in there and made a pattern. Cut the board with the pattern. Made some adjustments till it fit. Layed the carpet on the board and used the staple gun to attach it.
On a side note I ran my sytem for about a year. Finally, my harddrive crashed, and since I am about to sell my car. I bought a cheap stereo and replaced the carputer.
If anyone is interested in my dww650 I would sell it. I made some modifications to it. It works or worked when I took it out of the car.
As is $100 prefer local.
If anyone is interested in the car $10k or best offer. Prewired for carputer.
94k miles. Clean
Some modifications mostly electrical.
Donnely self dimming mirror with compass and temperature.
One touch auto sunroof and passenger window courtesy of a dei alarm module.
4 - 6.5" Polk Audio DB-651
1 - Kicker 4 channel amp
Have all stock parts and they will go with the car.
Only engine mod is CAI.
I guess that means I am done with this car.
