Nice work!
Finished this up last week (well almost finished), I have been working on this since Thanksgiving. School, work, kids, and wife were the only things that slowed me down.

The Car
To take the head unit out follow these directions that were made by someone else
05-06http://www.psedog.com/G35/G35ScreenH...stallGuide.doc
03-04http://www.psedog.com/G35/G35ScreenH...stallGuide.doc
The one for the 05-06 is missing a step, you have to pull of the panels next to your shifter/radio, they are a pain to get out, you have to yank it out starting from the bottom rear and work your way up.
Here is the IR for the remote. I put it right next to the Passenger air bag light. The flash really makes it stand out, but under normal lighting you can't see it.
First test fit
In order to run the 4 gauge cable for the sub amp, I drilled a hole in the firewall (5/8" drill bit), put some touch up paint in the hole, and installed the grommet/cable.
Screen Power Cable. Having a cable plugged in to the cigarette lighter at all times is not the look that I'm going for, so I soldered it.
Power supply for the Mini, directly under the head unit (Radio).

Around the forums I have seen some mis information about the coloring of the Rear speaker wires from the head unit. Here is a picture of mine (06 AT)
yellow and black = left ground Teal = left +
Pink and Black = Right ground Orangeish red = Right +
My L.O.C. wasn't going to fit behind the radio with the case still attached, so I took it apart and wrapped it in electrical tape to keep it from shorting out on anything
More to come, MP3car has a 15 pic limit, but they aren't even hosting the pictures, I am.
Edit:
New custom sub boxes

Good job....you know, though, that where you ran the 4 gauge power cable, there is allready a spot to run cable through? It's the black rubber grommet that is to the left of the wire you ran (as you are looking at the picture), and it drops down into the same place. You just cut a small hole in the grommet, run the wires through, and then seal with some silicon sealant. I've got a 0 gauge power cable, along with about 10 other wires running through there (gauges, UTEC MAP sensor, etc...) If you've got any questions on the G, let me know, I've got a pretty elaborate setup in my 2005 G35.
Good job, by the way!

Hey guys, I have question, my 05 G35 has a navigation in it and I want DVD put in ok, should I get a complete set of touch screen dvd or should I get dvd and share that navigation screen, what do I need if I share that navigation screen, guys I need helps, thanks.![]()
Yes, I am aware. I think it is ghetto when people do this, so I make my own holes. Just a personal preference.
Thank you!
Thank you!
I saw your Car domain, NICE.
I'm planning on making a fiberglass enclosure for the screen, though. The current enclosure is just started to feel ghetto.
Oops,. I didn't turn on subscriptions for this thread. I hadn't realized anyone even looked at it until today

Do you have any suggestions for screens? It is pretty hard to see this one with any real daylight on the outside of the car. I was thinking of just sinking it in a little when I create the enclosure.
Most message board sites have the subscription option on by default. You would think that at least when you create a page, it would be subscribed by default. Oh well, you live you learnI'm done
