He's using a custom Linux o/s. I think it will be for sale on his site soon.
Linux is free, only the hardware and my software are for sale...perhaps one day
The radar alert is now functionning smooth as silk...i go out to take some pics i'll post later
after that i'll try to continue my work with i-bus but madam wanted her Mercedes to be fitted with the thing i showed in worklog, so my i-bus / OBDII tampering is delayed
On the photo, top of the screen is blured due to ticker moving...
and sorry for this ugly, ghetto, crappy video but for those who got a video player which can modify light and contrast they will see what i tried to do as movie...not easy to drive an Euro car and try to get some pictures in same time...however the video quality is bad but this is now usual isn't it
More seriously i added alerts in the audio and video part, even in full screen, when a radar alert is raised, i got a ticker on top of the screen which displays distance and speed. When no radars in area it displays the speed. The principle is the same for the idle, audio, radio, internet, video and the future i-bus control panel. In the same time a vocal alert is raised when triggering distance is reached.
enough blah blah, here's the poor man's video http://www.r-kraft.com/mov04432.mpg
ok, ok it's very slow but files are at home and my upload speed is around 1 Mb so don't expect to whatch the video online, prefer to use "save as" command of your browser.
Ok i-bus is working fine, didn't found time to integrate all buttons but for test purpose i binded + / - buttons of the steering wheel here's the result http://www.r-kraft.com/mov04454.mpg
