V480 - Macintosh Mini installation

Sorry, no pictures of the dock yet, but here are two from yesterday when we have started the v480 installation.

We are using 7" Lilliput LCD, mounted where the head unit and a small shelf used to be. The head unit stays for now, and will be moved to the glovebox, together with Mac mini and P1900. Later the head unit will be replaced by HQCT + amplifier.

Finally some progress (I was ill for some time). I have decided to put the mini into the dashboard. The head unit was moved to the glove box for now, but will be replaced with HQCT + external amp shortly. The screen is mounted upside down. Both screen and Mac mini will get additional bezels, that are being made right now.

No, my 480 is not Turbo. I actually had a chance to get a turbo when I was buying this one, the turbo was actually even cheaper. But the normal 1.7ES I bought was generally in better condition, with less km on the clock and I was afraid of potential problems with the turbo engine.

But a V480Turbo (preferrably one of the last 480) is pretty high on my shopping list (after only Tatra 603). However the car purchases are now on hold until I have found a reasonable storage for the cars.

So I have finalized the re-located radio in the (former) glove box and made first versions of the screen bezel and Mac mini cover...

That's a very clean install, it looks great. Did you mount the mini in the dash so it was easy to remove or to cut down or wiring length?

I put it in the dash because it was the most suitable place and the location allows me to access the DVD drive and check the LED on the front side. It is actually not that easy to remove the mini. I would use our dock, but the dashboard is too narrow for that in the lower part.
