looks good! But it would look 10x better if you actually molded the screen face into the bezel itself... Otherwise, your project looks awesome! Any plans for Car audio?
No, no bondo. This works pretty well for me.
If you are thinking about doing that, I dont know if I would go with the widescreen format. Someone else John.... something had a fit that might work better with that type of setup. Right now, this provides a tiny bit of glare reduction and looks good enough for me. IF I was really going to integrate into this somewhat impossible car, I would have tried for a different location.
Good luck on yours. Make mine looks bad and maybe I will follow your design if I get enough time and patience.

No, not really going forward with any audio. I was just looking for function on this one.
I agree that it would look cooler to mold it, but I just don't have the energy and desire to do so right now.
Pretty much as soon as I finish my laptop trunk mount, I am calling this done.
okay, in his defense, i've seen alot of "molded in" screens that just really look like ****e... even when well done, they have this sort of homogenous, monolithic look that doesn't at all break up visually in the way that OEM screens do. Remember, OEM screen installs are by their very nature removable and replaceable so in large part, at least to me, look more like what mwmcginn did than some of the "molded" jobs i've seen elsewhere. If nothing else i'd like to see more of the top edge of the screen... and maybe you can when you're in the car... but as tight as it looks for not having used any fillers, i have to give him credit because that's in many cases even harder to pull off than just shmearing poop all over the edges and sanding it off.

Need to make something? Here are a few ideas.
looking good man, I agree with you, keep it simple if you can't devot the time. I dunno about everyone else but i'd much rather spend time with a newborn daughter then in the garage molding a screen in my dash

^^ you've got a very good point there as well
and yea... it sorta looks like the top is tucked in there pretty well...
Never really noticed the top being cut off, I'll have to take a picture thats more from drivers angle when I do the trunk work. Thanks for the comments though.
I really just hope this thread helps others get to what they want to do with their setup.
Hey thanks for your reply in the other thread. your setup's awsome.. hey, where'd u get the attachment kit for lilliput? Did u build it urself?
Its a honda kit used to attach the MP3 player.
I used part number 08B06-SDR-100 for the hybrid with navigation (its attachment pieces are a little different, and lets you go a little wider with what you install)
Part number 08B06-SDA-101A for many players will fit this one. (it has two plates on each side that will let you isomount normal din width players)
Here are some install instructions that may help you understand what this one looks like:

Your project looks great. How did you remove bottom seat cushion in the back? I am helping a friend install towing hitch and lights on their Accord and was wanting to run the wires under it.
