Hello Guys,
stumbled upon this lovely case by PcBricks in the USA.

It is very expensive, but exactly what I need to make my system passive-cooled, as I have all the heatpipes already but struggled to find a sufficiently designed case to whisk the heat away from the components.

I have contacted the Supplier, and Stephen replied that they would ship it wo Australia - thank you for your top-service, Mate!

So, once I get that, I will relocate the Zotac 9300 WiFi from the Minibox 350 case, and proceed to passively cool the setup. I have a feeling the PcBrick case will be a bolt-in replacement for the 350 mini.

There's a 6-8 day delay before shipping, as there seems to be made-to-order, and a slight back-log.....but no worries, it will be here soon enough.

Will do a review once it lands, and show some nice high-res pics.

This is some of the most amazing custom work I've seen in a while. I've been thinking about starting my own project in both my VT and a mates XR6, when he finally gets one, and this thread has kinda given me the confidence to keep going on with it. Firstly I was just wondering what are your thoughts on running a 2nd smaller battery through relay system so that when you turn your car off the system goes into deep sleep rather than having to boot up every time, also how are you finding that Win7 compares to XPE in the CarPC world? I would love to see this rig in the flesh one day, keep up the amazing work

A second battery might help you out for a few days with S3, and with W7, you can use hibernate-sleep......

I still prefer Win XP for the carputer, although I have another node running W7, beta-testing CF 3.1, and it is performing really well.

Congratulations. Many months had passed without you posting major milestone progress, and I was wondering whether you had actually dumped the project.

I hope you also changed the lighting colour on the console to blue, if it already wasn't.
I see you also went with the silver paint. Not a black piano look" person?
Wish I had a big screen. I am still using the Xenarc 7" which sits below, where the tissue box is stored. (Ford Territory)
Interesting to see you have moved away from the touch screen too. I find using a ball, while on the move, can be ackward, but I love to touch.
Love to see it all installed.

Ok mate I have stumbled upon this thread looking for info on carputers and yours blows anything else out of the water for many reasons but this one aspect is that it looks oem but just so much better lol it is one of a kind. Now my question is I want to put carputer in my FG XR6Turbo but after seeing yours I couldnt pass the oportunity to ask you this how different or hard would be doing FG in this way than BF also I have put the premium sound system originaly mine had standard lcd so I bought one of the ASL guys. Its a lot of work and I'm not sure I could do all myself so you know anyone or perhaps could you build fascia in a way you did for BF, I know they are different in design and spacing vents etc. but I just love the posibilty of bigger screen and most days I dont even run AC (I come from europe so no problem for me lol) as for the rest there is allways someone arrround if I get stuck but to be honest you did excelent job in puting the unit together so idealy I would just copy what you did bar the fascia well I cant use BF fascia. Could you or do you mind to make a list of what you did in regards to the project it would make my life easy and this looks out of this world and I guess in the FG it would look even better, I was looking for info where to start how to etc but your thread is be it all end it all. Good on you mate...
