they make a Si sedan???, OK sure.

I have the 2door SI #220 actuly , i love it and now that its warmer im going to get back at it and get my carputer installed., can you please post the part# of the switch...please..., also i have the pinouts for the amp if you want...

and wouldnt the turbo void all waranties you have?, my dealer seggests that i dont lower the car let alone turbo it, it they made a supercharger kit for the Si i would get it regardless, i got the headers DC 4-2-1, exhaust and cold air intake before my first oil change and i HIGHLY recomend it, just as long as you dont mind the check engine light always being on

    I'll address all those questions:

First, part number for the VSA OFF switch is 35300-SNA-003 $6.72 at hondapartsdeals.com

the mac was/will be connected to the eclipse HU by using an DVI->NTSC converter (available from apple) and the auxiliary inputs on the head unit. I know this isn't optimal picture quality, but it is outstanding for Front Row which is all i use it for.

as far as your check engine light - check this thread out

i think it's been a fairly common problem.

As far as turbocharging goes - i'm feeling somewhat adventurous. Greddy has worked out alot of the kinks in their kit for the 06+ Si, and I think it's ready to have a go on my car. I have some very engine savvy friends and a Helm manual and the ETM supplement that I think will get me through any sticky spots.

The nice thing about a turbo is that if something goes haywire, i can still switch the A/F management map to N/A and limp it home.

thanks for the link, i dispatched my brother to go to parts source to get the plug defouler and i might be installing it at work ...

I would prefer a supercharger though, but i see your point about being able to limp homre, except for it the turbo blows, your going to have to get your intercooler cleaned out or replace it and if the compressor side goes you could be flinging a lot of crap through your beutifull k20. speaking of which is the sedan a k20z3? like the 2 door?

than a i just spent i litle over a grand on my headers and exhaust, so i dont want to be replacing it all over again.

yes the 07 si sedan is the k20 just like the 2door. the suspension has been reworked so it handles like the coupe, so basically there the same car. the 07 models have a traction control we didnt get on the 06 model. Anyhow.when i did my pc in my si over a year ago now, i had to bypass the factory amp. it took honda such a lng time to find the schematic that i drew the damn thing so id never lose it.

there are the 2 plugs that go into the amp.

portabuddy - i haven't purchased anything yet... so if you've got a suggestion for an S/C setup, i'm perfectly open to giving it a look. My friend is a honda guru and has a wealth of experience with turbocharged cars, so i've been relying on him for his knowledge in deciding which way to go.

my setup actually uses the factory amp instead of bypassing it. I'll see if i have a picture of the harness I made for it, otherwise i have to get back there one more time to hook the mac in... i'll take pictures then.

I really dont want to jack this thread, but so many Honda guys one one thread I can help it . . .

Has anyone come up with a way to use the steering wheel controls on a CarPC yet?

FYI I have ordered an OEM XM antenna, I'll post the pics to convert it to the XM reciver. (I was in a hurry, took the car through a car wash and up my trunk)

yah, there is a binary input card you can use that you can set NO or a NC switch, IE, if you press the button it loggs it as a open or closed curcet, then software that onverts this via the rs232 that you can program like a game controler.

Then you can actuly use a game controler and unsolder the micro switch from the controler and feed a wire from the steering wheel controle harnes to it and program the game controler to incease your volume and whatever else you want. I'm at work right now so im limited to the things i can go to but i will try to find you a link.

edit, I noticed that you got #0308 i got #0220 lol... had to wait 4 months to get it

i'm actually working on a little more elegant way of doing it. We just got a LabJack at work, and I got the schematics for the Honda steering wheel controls from the Helm ETM. I've been a bit tight on funds lately, the reason for slow progress, but i'm going to be able to do this by reading voltages on the wire that's already coming through the steering column and then use an interface board with 6 transistors (i think that's what i need) to trigger an iPAC. As soon as I get back from my vacation, i'm going to start buying what I need to make it happen.

Im not touching the factory amp for warranty reasons, If i touch the amp i lose electrical warranty, on anything that happens, and if i get in a acemdent and total the car they can even go asfar as to deny coverage and screw me over... and as far as the supercharger goes, it just me, it on demand power not like laggy turbos, not to say that you cant get a VGT Turbo with a blow off valve on the exhause to keep it spooled up, but for the oney i think that the superchargers are underrated, they are bigger and they dont make a kit for the civics, when they first came out honda gave out the first 40 to aem, gredy, tien... all the aftermarket companies and i dont remember which but one of them did have a supercharger and a intercooler crammed under the hood, with a high cowl hood on it...

Right now at this moment the only things you can do to it is cams, rockers, flywheel, cam gears, intake manifold gasket(10+hp) send the ecu to hondata and put a turbo on it, the kit your talking about isnt massive power(50-60hp i think) but its a good pick up for the money espesaly if you get a deal, like the whole kit for like 3g's i would pay that, but warranty is more important to me right now
